ABsolutely Fabulous: The Hardest Six-Packs in Hollywood (And How To Get Them)

And you thought your workout routine was challenging

Los Angeles is the fitness enthusiast’s Mecca, a place where a premium is placed on the perfect set of abs (just ask our very own Amy Wallace). And while it might feel like you’re working harder than everyone else on the quest to a perfect physique, we’ve got some humbling news: you’re probably not working as hard as the cast of Spartacus.

True to West Coast fashion, the actors on Starz’s hit series won’t settle for CGI manipulation or muscle make-up when it comes to putting their bodies on display. In fact, the cast is required to endure a month-long “gladiator” boot camp—four hours a day, seven days a week—all in the name of authenticity:

Unfortunately, the Spartacus bootcamp is not open to mere mortals (aka the public). Looking to get close-up ready results yourself?  Here’s a quick resource guide to sculpting your very own Hollywood-worthy washboard:

1. The Spartacus Workout
You may not be able to train with the cast, but you can train at home. Created by Rachel Cosgrove of Results Fitness in conjunction with Men’s Health Magazine, this plan will have you looking like a gladiator in no time.
Endorsed by: Liam McIntyre, Cynthia Addai-Robinson

2. The 300 Workout
If you’ve ever wanted to look like something Michelangelo himself carved from marble, then this is the workout for you.
Endorsed by: Gerard Butler, Michael Fassbender

3. Tabata Training
Born out of the High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) movement, this workout does away with the dreaded elliptical and leans you out in half the time.
