An expanse of Spanish-style buildings on the edge of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Terranea Resort comes with multiple pools, a golf course, several restaurants, an enormous spa, and nearby options for cycling, kayaking, and hiking. The fire pits scattered about are a cozy touch (s’mores kits are available), and the Pacific is right there. The only thing missing is a sandy beach. Rooms are understated, with weathered-wood headboards and framed coastal landscapes. Dogs are welcome.
