“Last summer we took a family trip to Istanbul and Bodrum, and I cannot recommend it enough. It left me completely inspired. The mosques and architecture are so colorful and distinctive, and the tilework blew me away. Exposing my sons to rich history and different cultures is one of my greatest joys as a mother. It is incredible to see the world through their eyes.”
STAND IN AWE: The Sultan Ahmet Mosque, or Blue Mosque, is one of Istanbul’s most iconic and breathtaking structures. Visitors can admire the architecture for free, but plan your visit carefully: The mosque is closed to nonworshippers for 90 minutes five times a day to allow for prayer.
