Step Up Women’s Network Inspiration Awards

Actress Christina Hendricks, director Catherine Hardwicke, and Dermalogica are honored for empowering teens and women

The fashionable crowd attending the 8th Annual Inspiration Awards benefiting Step Up Women’s Network were all rocking sky-high heels at a luncheon at the Bev Hilton. The nonprofit, which is dedicated to connecting accomplished women with underserved teens, threw the bash to say hurrah to Mad Men actress Christina Hendricks (a no-show), writer/director Catherine Hardwicke, and corporate honoree Dermalogica (founder Jane Wurwand picked up the prize; did you know the products are made locally?). Nikki Reed presented Hardwicke with her hardware. Their connection? Hardwicke dated the actress’s father, and she and Reed cowrote the film Thirteen. Designer Trina Turk created a style lounge on the hotel’s deck, where the outdoor furniture was covered with her Trina Turk for Schumacher fabric collection, and models lounged about in her swimwear. Gals like Reed, Ming-Na, and Garcelle Beauvais stopped by. For more information on Step Up Women’s Network, visit suwn.org.
