It’s December. Here come the big flicks

All the stars of the BIG new flick Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows showed up at the film’s premiere at the Village Theater in Westwood. Well, all except…Elementary, my dear Watson. No Jude Law. He was also a no-show when costar Robert Downey Jr. was honored by the American Cinematheque a few months ago. Hmmm. Busy fella? Spotted on the carpet: Robert Downey Jr., Rachel McAdams, Jared Harris, Noomi Rapace (all in the picture) and the film’s director, Guy Ritchie. Who else showed? Downey pal Jodie Foster along with Pharrell Williams, Max von Sydow, Amber Heard, Todd Phillips, Monet Mazur, Jon Favreau, and Norman Lear. Lear was also honored this week at the People for the American Way gala (an org he founded). His fellow honoree was Alec “never powering down” Baldwin. After all the action and accents, it was on to the afterparty high above the city at Soho House. McAdams and Rapace sparkled (check out the photos). I wonder whether Rapace will come back to the United States for the premiere of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (she starred in the Swedish version).
