Partying at the Furious 7 Premiere

Vin Diesel, hot cars, and cool ladies closed down Hollywood Boulevard

There was a different type of golden statue outside the home of the Oscars last night for the super-charged premiere of Furious 7 at the TCL Chinese Theater. Golden ladies posed up and down Hollywood Boulevard as the cast (minus cast member Paul Walker, who died in a car crash while this latest installment for the Fast and Furious franchise was filming in November of 2013) arrived to great fanfare. The mood was jovial as Vin Diesel showed up with his s.o., Paloma Jimenez (who gave birth to the couple’s third child, Pauline, named in honor of Walker, two weeks ago), their older children, and his parents. Diesel’s onscreen love Michelle Rodriguez arrived looking fab and joked with photogs to get a shot of her great cleavage … while they could. Cast members past and present all turned out for an enormous crowd larger than most premieres draw in. Dwayne Johnson, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, and Chris “Ludacris” Bridges all stopped for autograph hounds.

Diesel (who had his hand print ceremony outside the TCL Chinese earlier that day) addressed guests before the lights went down inside before the screening. There was definitely a sense of family all around with Universal’s Donna Langley given high praise and Walker remembered at every turn. The party after the party got rocking across the street on top of the Roosevelt’s pool, which was covered to fit even more guests. The film opens Friday and is projected to rake in an estimated $150 million during the holiday weekend.
