L.A.’s social scene is one fantastic blur. Let’s stop a moment and check out one of my favorite shots of the week:
Who: Paul Bettany, Robert Downey Jr., and Anthony Mackie.
What: An intimate screening of Bettany’s directorial debut, Shelter (Screen Media Films), held last night. Bettany also wrote the film, which stars his wife (actress Jennifer Connelly) and Anthony Mackie.
Where: CAA in Century City.
Why: Because why not? Robert Downey Jr. hosted the screening. The film hits theaters on November 13.
Wow: While Connelly was unable to attend (she was on location), Mackie was heard lauding the emotion behind the film’s premise (a love story about two people who are homeless). In fact, he said he spent a lot of time in his trailer crying during filming.
