Jewels of France

The Consul General of France threw a bash highlighting sparkly French things

As I walked down the street after parking my fancy ride, I could spot the people going to the Jewels of France to-do in Bev Hills by their stylish threads. The affair, held at David Martinon, Consul General of France’s, home was a non-jeans function, with models mixing with the crowd wearing Kevan Hall gowns and featuring pieces by seven French jewelers. The Consul General looked out over his decorated backyard and said to the crowd (which included his wife, Karen), “This reminds me of our wedding two years ago.” Chef Mark Kearney sent hors d’oeuvres out the backdoor into the fray, Hasty Torres was there doling out chocolate creations from Madame Chocolat and there was plenty of champers, of course. Who did I spy mingling at the soiree? Teri Hatcher, William Moseley (always think of him from the Narnia movies), and one time James Bonder George Lazenby (10 points if you can name the single Bond film he appeared in). The party kicked off a three day trunk show produced by the French Trade Commission and the Mark Kearney Group and proceeds benefited the Arthritis Foundation’s Juvenile Arthritis Program. Fini.
