Coldplay’s Game of Thrones: The Musical

Our thanks to Chris Martin

Need a lift on this back-to-work week following the long weekend? Here it is. If you caught the Red Nose Day telethon on NBC, you saw an edited version of Coldplay’s hilarious Game of Thrones: The Musical narrated by Liam Neeson. The spoof featured many of the show’s cast members, from Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) to Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), having a laugh to get people to ante up for children living in poverty. The comedy show fund-raiser has been around in the UK since the mid-80s but this was its first year in the USA. Jamie Lannister’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) ode to his sister was kind of an ear worm and Kit Harington’s studly turn singing ‘Wildling’ was worth a giggle. You can still donate to Red Nose Day here.

Here’s Coldplay’s unedited 12-minute version of Game of Thrones: The Musical for those who want to keep on humming and donating…
