Want it Now: The Perfect Parka for Fall in L.A.

A good-looking coat to keep you cool when it’s still warm

It’s one of the glories of living in Los Angeles: Angelenos get to bask in the sun long into the fall months. That warm-weather perk comes with a shopping dilemma, however—what to buy this time of year when stores are suddenly stocked with heavy coats and sweaters. I go for functional fashion. My two favorite jackets that I found are the ‘Veraline’ parka by Obey at American Rag Cie off La Brea and the Summer parka from Current/Elliott at Intermix. I love the Obey style for its hood and faux fur collar, while the Current/Elliott style is the perfect weight for transitioning into the new season. I’d wear either on a casual night out to the movies, or for a day of shopping. A cute hat and a nice pair of sunnies keeps the look more end-of-summer than dead of winter, whatever that feels like.
