Calling all ragdolls: Designer Lisa Larson has opened Ragdoll L.A.’s first flagship store. Although it began in a studio in Silver Lake, Larson chose a corner shop across from Magnolia Bakery on W. 3rd Street in West Hollywood for her brand’s first boutique.
Inside, Ragdoll’s new space has a minimalist design that’s part Scandinavian simplicity and part California casual. With interior décor items that Larson found herself via eBay and antique stores, it reminds us of a stylish L.A. girl’s apartment; a pile of Vogue magazines are stacked so that they form a makeshift table and cozy lamb fur pillows are thrown about.
Ragdoll’s latest collection of cool girl staples, like washed-out tees and signature track pants, are perfect for the city’s individualist style, and that’s how Larson intends it. “You can dress up one day and dress down another,” she says. “Anything goes here.”
