For the first time Chanel is bringing its fine jewelry line direct from Paris to Los Angeles (instead of stopping in New York)—and it’s arriving as awards season is under way. When prepping for the Big One or the zombie apocalpyse, leave it to Hollywood boutique Just One Eye to create a high-end emergency kit, complete with cashmere blanket, night-vision goggles, satellite phone, Motorola walkie-talkies, Bushnell binoculars, and more than 50 other lifesaving tools. > $12,500 at Just One Eye, Hollywood, 888-563-6858.
Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, the ladies behind Juicy Couture, have launched an e-commerce site for their new brand, Pam & Gela. The sophisticated, casual line features fringed leather jackets and leather track pants in place of their trademark velour tracksuits.
Remember when jeans were jeans, before those stretchy legging versions took over? L.A. denim company Mother is releasing “Brother,” a capsule collection of old-school dungarees and jackets—the slouchy, oversize kind you’d borrow from your big bro. > Jacket, $275,
The lead makeup artist for the film Fifty Shades of Grey teamed with Make Up For Ever on a series of limited-edition cosmetic sets. Among the offerings: “Tease Me,” a trio of lip liners and glosses inspired by looks created for the character Ana. > $32 at Make Up For Ever, West Hollywood, 310-289-1758.
The foldable camping seat by Swedish-based Nudie Jeans is made from nine pairs of recycled denim jeans, one belt, and a leather patch. Only 250 exist, which is a cool story to share around the campfire. > $299 at Nudie Jeans, L.A., 323-951-0677.
