Mireille Enos, who plays a hard-nosed private investigator on ABC’s The Catch, premiering tomorrow, trades her all-bussiness attire for ultrafeminine frocks in soft shades of mint green, lavender, and mauve. Lace, tulle, and silk organza give this season’s dresses a barely there essence.
Tadashi Shoji top, $188, and skirt, $248: Chanel fine jewelry earrings, $9,900 and ring (on left hand), $11,300; Single Stonering (on right hand), $24,000; Mikimoto necklace (worn as bracelet), $12,230
Pin It Down
Not only are brooches back, they’re more grand in size and shape. Consider adding them to a secretary-blouse bow or the sash of a gown for a surprise accent.
Have a Ball
Earrings demand attention as they jump from large to jumbo. Worried about the weight? Don’t be. Some, like these Prada clip-ons encrusted in paillettes, are deceptively light. Consider rocking an updo to net the full effect.
Be Head Over Heels
Footwear steps in as the showstopper. Sequins and spikes embellish mules from Gucci, pearls and crystals sparkle on ankle straps from Marc Jacobs,a nd creamic-tile heels evoke architectural elements at Dolce & Gabbana. These gold leather sandals by Tory Burch were inspired by tree bark.
Chain bags confer a toughness on the season’s delicate aesthetic. Straps range from chunky (Burberry) to dainty (Chanel). This purse from Christian Louboutin has the right mix of sugar and spice.
