Lena Dunham is a Nasty Gal

The Girls series creator has teamed up with Nasty Gal CEO Sophia Amoruso

Yes, we love Lena Dunham, but her fashion choices? Not always. Thankfully, the writer-actor-producer has enlisted Sophia Amoruso, CEO and founder of Nasty Gal, to help style her for her upcoming 15-stop book tour promoting her memoir, Not That Kind of Girl. We learned this morning from WWD that the pair held an epic six-hour fitting at Amoruso’s L.A. home. In the end, they chose 15 outfits—all exclusively from Nasty Gal, of course. They include the expected (irreverent T-shirts) and the unexpected (lots of leather). Dunham even named some of the looks: “One—comprising a leather skirt, a Bart Simpson T and a leopard coat—is what Dunham called the ‘Waiting Around Max Fish to Get Laid’.” Whether you want a style that says “you’re a divorcee who’s got her groove back” or “an extra from 200 Cigarettes,” you can shop looks inspired by the ones Dunham and Amoruso created on nastygal.com.
