The only freestanding Helmut Lang store in LA opened this weekend on Melrose. The 1,400 square foot boutique features 16 foot ceilings, a glass façade, concrete floors and homasote clad walls. Designed by Jenny Dyer, who also designed the new Helmut Lang showroom in New York’s Meatpacking District, the space has an airy raw urban feel.
The Pre-Fall collection is available in the store now— the line of structured blazers, asymmetrical skirts and dresses, in a color palette of whites, nudes, and greens was inspired by “complex geometric shapes and prints inspired by webs woven by spiders.” The boutique will also carry a capsule collection of neutral tees, tanks, maxi dresses and leggings, with an affordable price point ranging from $85 to $210.
