LACMA hosted its inaugural Art + Film Gala honoring actor and filmmaker Clint Eastwood and artist John Baldessari on Saturday. The event, co-chaired by Leonardo DiCaprio and LACMA Trustee Eva Chow, raised $3 million to go toward more film exhibits and film education programing at LACMA.
Gucci sponsored event which was filled with luminaries from the art world (Catherine Opie, Ed Ruscha, Julian Schnabel), the fashion world (Monique Lhuillier, Christian Louboutin, Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte) and the entertainment industry (Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz, Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Reese Witherspoon, Mickey Rourke, Armie Hammer, and tons more).
A handfull of guests wore Gucci (including Baldessari, Kate Hudson, Amy Adams and LACMA CEO Michael Govan).
And the most popular frock of the night was a very ’20’s era, Boardwalk Empire-inspired, fringe-y Gucci number, several versions of the dress were seen on Zoe Saldana, Camilla Belle and Evan Rachel Wood (who had the finger wave bob to match).
