The designers of the lines CF Goldman, Assembly, Eckhaus Latta, and Legier & Livaudais are gathering at Assembly Los Angeles for a trunk show party this Thursday, August 6th.
Legier Biederman and Melissa Livaudais of Legier & Livaudais make custom rings. Each features a single flat, rectangular stone set in brass or silver. The streamlined designs emphasize the natural beauty and complexity of the stones, all of which are gathered from socially and environmentally responsible sources. Everything that the brand makes is designed and produced in L.A.
Chelsea Goldman of CF Goldman connects the dots between high-concept design and wearable sportswear. Her boxy, structured garments are finished with bursts of details, like cut-out polka dots, single stripes, and oversized bows.
Assembly is Greg Armas’ in-house line for Assembly Los Angeles. It consists of unadorned, luxurious, and versatile pieces. Armas improves upon well-loved staples like black shift dresses and slouchy T-shirts. The pieces are elevated by unexpected touches like hook closures and hidden pockets.
Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta are the team behind the avant garde label Eckhaus Latta. The duo plays with volume, exaggerated silhouettes, and dashes of bold colors like orange, lilac, and saffron. Although the company doesn’t sell itself as being an eco-friendly line, its garments are made from 90 percent recycled and deadstock fabric.
The six designers will present their Fall 2015 lines at a party at the new Assembly Los Angeles store on Melrose Avenue. The fall collections and other limited edition pieces will be available to shop. Want to stop by this Thursday from 6 to 10 p.m? RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
