With so many palette variations available, it’s harder than ever to gin up the same degree of interest with each new launch. But take one loving look at Tom Ford’s new Summer 2015 Eye and Cheek Compact in Pink Glow ($95). I knew on sight that I needed the 4” x 4” quad; its three richly pigmented shadows and two perfectly paired pink/raspberry blushes are perfect for anyone averse to the bright blue and bronze metallics that usually show up for summer. The versatile but mellow hues have a wearable sheen and last for hours when used wet or dry. The rose gold is my new go-to pigment for both eyes and cheeks, and I’m happy knowing the set will work well into L.A.’s fall.
