Beauty Counter Intelligence: Your Split End Solution

For winter hair, no less

Winter almost always means dry hair for me. My locks don’t turn to straw, but they do get thirsty for more moisture, especially the ends. I recently added Serge Normant’s Meta Morphosis Hair Repair Treatment ($60) into my routine as a weekly fix for my hair, which is highlighted religiously. The coconut oil-based treatment has some interesting ingredients; Keravis (a vegetable protein) strengthens strands from the inside out to prevent breakage while cedar bark and prickly pear extracts work to clarify hair from roots to tips. The buttery mask does its work in 30 minutes. After just one application of a quarter-sized glob, my hair was noticeably less brittle and felt sleeker, looked shinier, and smelled superb. The mask can feel a bit grainy, but don’t worry, that’s common with natural, unrefined shea butter, which likes to clump when temps vary. The product melts easily when you finger comb the mask throughout your hair.
