A.P.C. Spills Over to the Eastside

The one-stop-shop for basics opens two new locations east of Melrose

The French linchpin for sturdy basics and wear-every-single-day jeans has finally opened its glass doors downtown, at 125 West 9th Street between Spring and Broadway, and is set to open in Silver Lake later this month. The DTLA location took over two identical, adjacent spaces, which now house the label’s men’s and women’s collections. The two entrances are kept separate but are visually united by a common glass-panel façade that opens to 9th street. The sleek, well-groomed interior is punctuated with translucent touches and boxy steel display systems that echo the store’s immediate surroundings.

The Silver Lake shop is dressed in a large, curved bay window that provides a single panoramic view of the Hollywood Sign, the hills, and downtown’s skyline. The bright, triangular space will be homey and intimate, centered around a living room filled with monolithic oak furniture and a courtyard of native plants.

Both stores will will carry A.P.C’s standard inventory of super simple and wearable men’s and women’s clothing, leather wallets and bags, Aesop products, shoes, and costume jewelry.
