Located in West Los Angeles at 540 N. La Cienega, this premier exclusive Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove retail showroom is the first of its kind in the entire United States with over 90 appliances on display.
Greeted first by an open floor plan with a white marble kitchen island lit by gold-trimmed globe light fixtures, this showroom elevates your shopping experience the moment you step foot in the door. The mission is to cut out the noise, the overwhelm of choice and hesitation of decision-making by not only narrowing down options but displaying the best of the best in a sleek, tangible manner that offers greater visualization before taking the leap. The Luxury Kitchen is a destination for architects and designers to bring clients for a real-life experience in developing their dream kitchen through education and inspiration to make selection simple and empowering. Taking it up a notch beyond just a showroom, they also offer in-store live cooking demonstrations with a fully-functioning kitchen featuring appliances from each brand for a test-drive.
The Luxury Kitchen houses the trifecta of the innovative brands: Sub-Zero the Preservation specialist, Wolf the cooking specialist and Cove the cleaning specialist. With exceptional design and attention to detail, you can cook, clean and preserve food with full confidence. Each is also Wi-Fi enabled to ensure temperature control, remote pre-heating and monitoring as well as communications from your appliances including reminders and alerts.
The idea for this iconic space came to life 3 years ago when owner and 22-year Sub-Zero veteran, Sherry Gvili, was the Territory Manager for the brands’ showroom in Costa Mesa. Despite her efforts, based on distance and traffic it could be challenging getting people to visit and travel from LA. Gvili thought, “How amazing would it be if there was a store that exclusively sold Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove, the most luxurious and premier brands in the appliance industry? If a lady was looking for a Chanel purse, she could go to Neiman Marcus or Saks and look at a limited selection or she could go to the flagship store on Rodeo Dr. I’m sure you know the answer to that.” Along with an amazing team, including Sub-Zero’s Affiliate President, Kelly Ciulla; Vice President of Sales, Barry Bredvik; Retail Experience Manager Sarah Statchelsky; Designer Kimberly Knoop and many more, Gvili has brought the dream of making memorable experiences and encouraging self-expression to life.
The Grand Opening of The Luxury Kitchen was nothing short of memorable. Gvili hosted an evening with attendees including local designers and everyone that had a hand in creating the space. It felt more like a homecoming, that warm moment with family and friends when everyone gathers in the kitchen catching up over hors d’oeuvres, wine and excellent conversation. The friendly atmosphere was palpable as everyone explored the floor to ceiling, wall-to-wall appliances – from a Wolf grill station fit with storage drawers, a satellite range and wine and beverage fridges to the Sub-Zero wall of refrigerators in variations that tailor to specific needs, to the corridors of varying Wolf stove-top ranges and built-in ovens with elegant displays of Cove dishwashers in options of stainless steel and custom panels.
A tucked away conference room is beautifully designed with colorful yet dignified wallpaper and a built-in coffee maker. Sub-Zero Chefs Joel Chesebro and Molly Kruger prepared a delicious selection of flatbreads with ingredients like Wisconsin-based Pomona Sheep Milk Cheese, spicy Calabrian Chiles, black truffles and Shaft’s Blue Cheese. And like the surprise of an old friend, Bredvik brought in local wine ambassadors Loren and Pam Hoffman of the Boisset Collection for a tasting of their JCB N°69 Sparkling Brut Rosé, Frenchie 2019 Collage Red Wine and their distinctive Buena Vista 2021 Sheriff Red Blend. Surrounding the demonstration kitchen is the History of Innovation wall and visual slideshow showcasing how these brands came to be and their timeline to becoming legendary beginning in 1926.
The Luxury Kitchen raises the bar and elevates customer service to where no other appliance retailer has gone before. Here, it doesn’t end with the sale. Priding themselves in giving you a luxurious experience, they also offer an extensive list of post-purchase services including white glove installation through Elite Installation, a factory-certified premier installation company. In-store cooking demonstrations and even private in-home dinner parties with these best-in-class appliances prove inspirational moments worth savoring. It’s time to meet your new kitchen, it’s time to experience The Luxury Kitchen.
