This year Saint John’s announced the creation of the Chan Soon-Shiong Center for Sports Science (CSS2) with the help of Santa Monica Orthopedic Group and the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic clinic. Together with Saint John’s, these groups will help transform orthopedic and sports medicine care. Specialties and Research
Saint John’s is the home of the world-renowned John Wayne Cancer Institute, which is dedicated to breast, melanoma, brain and other cancer research. Saint John’s also specializes in anterior-approach hip and pelvis surgery and is involved in research for groundbreaking spine surgeries. Additionally, Saint John’s is a leader in atrial fibrillation and other cardiology procedures. Dedicated to women’s health, Saint John’s physicians have also published groundbreaking research on retaining ovaries during hysterectomies.
