Olio Pizzeria

Olio is the latest in a string of Mozza-inspired pizzerias boasting wood-fired ovens. The one at Olio was found on Craigslist (no joke) and provides the necessary heat for thin, crispy, decadent pies. The toppings are fresh from the farmers’ market—Swiss chard mingles with chicken-fennel sausage, truffled potatoes and red peppers sit atop Gruyère, and roasted fall mushrooms pair well with Brie. The same quality produce shows up in sides like the mâche and frisée salad with fennel, toasted almonds, and French feta. On weekend mornings that oven puts out sweet and savory bialys and breakfast calzones for brunch. » 8075 W. 3rd St. (323-930-9490). L-D daily; brunch Sat.-Sun. Beer and wine license pending. Pizza  $
