This modern Mediterranean café (Momed—get it?) is not another hummus-and-shawarma slinger. The flavors are heightened, and the space is contemporary. Pita arrives warm with a small saucer of za’atar-spiced olive oil. Weightless falafel rounds are served with a green tahini sauce. The classic spread of Middle Eastern dips and salads includes an addictive muhammara  made with roasted red peppers, walnuts, and pomegranate seeds. »  233 S. Beverly Dr. (310-270-4444). B-L-D daily. Beer and wine. Mediterranean $
