The team behind El Centro and 8oz. has taken over the former Bar Delux space on Cahuenga. The look—Mad Men on an ocean liner—sets the ideal mood for slurping oysters and downing specialty cocktails like the Eastside, an alcoholic interpretation of spa water that refreshes while it intoxicates. Consulting chef Gary Robins (NYC’s Russian Tea Room) offers a concise menu made up of just two entrées (steak frites and a fish of the day), a few raw shellfish selections, and caviar.
