Must Do: Mount Wilson Observatory

72

The Mount Wilson Observatory will rock your world. Open daily from April to December, the planetarium, which is located in the San Gabriel Mountains above Pasadena, has the world’s largest telescope available to the public.

How to do it: Explore the universe with an interstellar sleepover party. One night costs $1,700 (for up to 25 people), with a half night (sunset to midnight) available for $900. Cots are included, but you won’t be sleeping through this cosmic show.

Wish List: Amy Adams
“I’ve never taken my daughter to a planetarium.”
