Zoe Nathan’s Trail Mix
The chef-owner of Santa Monica’s Huckleberry Bakery and Café uses farmers’ market ingredients: 8 cups rolled oats, ¾ cup honey, 1 ½ teaspoons salt, ¼ teaspoon cinnamon, 8 ounces melted Plugra butter, 4 cups dried fruit (like cherries and currants), 4 cups mixed nuts (like walnuts and shelled pistachios). Combine oats, honey, salt, cinnamon and butter in bowl and toss until well mixed. Spread on tray and place in 375-degree oven for 30 to 60 minutes until mix is toasted a light brown. Add dried fruit and nuts. Enjoy.
