Another week almost over, another Barnsdall Friday Night Wine Tasting coming up! Curious about this week’s line up? Silver Lake Wine’s Jasper Dickson fills us in on what to expect—here’s what he has to say.

Hoxie Spritzer Lemon Linden Blossom
The triumphant return of Hoxie Spritzer! Our good friend Josh hand crafts these fine beverages right here in Los Angeles! Super refreshing and elegantly put together these are the perfect way to kick off your Barnsdall afternoon. Straight kickin’ it.

Ercavio Rosado Tierra de Castilla 2014 Spain
This Rose comes from high altitude, low yielding vineyards and is made from Spain’s leading grape, Tempranillo. The high altitude of the vineyards help to keep things cool during the growing year and thus preserves the acidity: the key component to making crisp refreshing Rose. Definitely one of our favorites every summer.

Famiglia DeRose Chianti 2012 Italy
This wine is the jam! The perfect pasta pairing from one of Italy’s most quinessential wine regions, Chianti. The grape Sangiovese is king here. A thirst quenching summery red with just a little bit of mouthfeel and structure to give it a nice backbone and solid acidity to keep it light on it’s feet.

Monte Das Promessas Lisboa 2012 Portugal
Are you ready for a mouthful? Here we go, let’s practice our Portugese… This wine is a blend of Castelao, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Okay, the last two are french but you get the idea. This wine comes from central Portugal, the area around Lisbon, and is definitely going to be the fullest of the four tonight. Great to pair with a nice juicy burger, this wine has beautiful dark berry fruit and a subtle hint of spice. Ride on!
