The Rye Side: Drink for Free at The Darkroom’s Bob Dylan Photo Exhibit

Complimentary Dylan-inspired cocktails will be served next Thursday

Some days, a hard rain’s a-gonna fall (maybe not so much in L.A.), and some days, it’s liquor that flows freely.

To celebrate its new exhibit of Bob Dylan photographs, The Darkroom is inviting the public to an event with free Dylan-inspired cocktails on Thursday, February 5, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Melrose Avenue bar has collaborated with Rock Paper Photo to present an exhibit featuring black-and-white Dylan images from 1961-70, when the musician went from being an obscure artist to a world-famous superstar. Even better, guests next Thursday night can pair a viewing of the vintage photos with free bar bites and free rye cocktails like the Tangled Up in Blue with rye, blueberry-mint syrup, and lemon; the Seven Curses with ancho-infused rye, Aztec Chocolate bitters, and a Guinness-infused sugar cube; and the Oxford Town with vanilla-clove-infused rye, agave, and pear-cinnamon cider. If that isn’t enough, Dylan fans can also buy the Highway 61 flight of Templeton Rye: straight, ancho-infused, and vanilla-clove-infused.

For those who can’t make it next Thursday, the Dylan-themed drinks will be available during the run of the exhibit for the rest of the month.

The Dylan installation will be the first of a series of Rock Paper Photo retrospectives at The Darkroom.
