Chef to the stars Manouschka Guerrier, who’s cooked for clients including Barbra Streisand, Drake, Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Selena Gomez, Chris Pine, Paul Stanley, and a Saudi princess, isn’t letting being single slow her down on Valentine’s Day.
She’ll be making a guest appearance at Stir Market, mixing drinks, pairing her Everything’s Coming Up Roses Champagne cocktail ($9) with chef Chris Barnett’s fried oysters with crispy Meyer lemon and fennel pollen ($12) during a casual, all-are-welcome (coupled or not) dinner.
Guerrier, who you might know from Food Network’s Private Chefs of Beverly Hills and Kitchen Inferno along with NBC’s Food Fighters, is also premiering her new show, The Dinner Bash, on YouTube on Valentine’s Day. She plays Brie Summer, one of three chefs in the show who throw dinner parties for a celebrity. The characters eat and drink (in a kitchen designed by Nadia G. from Bitchin’ Kitchen) and make vulgar jokes while discussing the perils of dating. Guerrier’s co-stars on the Michael Kallio-directed show are Ulka Simone Mohanty and Betty Fraser, two other L.A. chefs with their own acting backgrounds and various TV appearances. (The first celebrity guest star is Willam Belli from RuPaul’s Drag Race.)
Those who know Guerrier and her pals know that this show doesn’t veer so far from her actual life. She makes food and throws parties for celebs all the time and tells us that Grande is one of her best clients and that she’s cooked both for and with Stanley, a food enthusiast with his own chef’s coat.
She’s also had her share of relationship drama in L.A. and is down to meet a potential Valentine at Stir Market, if there any charming, handsome men out there who want to buy her one of her own cocktails.
“I’m always open to meet someone,” Guerrier says. “I’m totally in love with the idea of love, but the search continues in the craptastic dating mecca of the world. Hell-A. Hah!”
