The Recording Academy celebrated the launch of its GRAMMY Label tees last night at Harvard & Stone with live performances by singer-songwriter Caitlin Crosby, who kicked things off, and The Rambles, who closed out the evening. The event, hosted by rock royalty Alexandra Richards (in photo above, top row, far right) and sponsored by Bowen’s whiskey, was well attended by stylish indie rockers and sexy fashionistas (naturally), who had to be reminded not to “network,” but to enjoy the bands on stage and the free whiskey. The label’s creative director, Caroline Rothwell (top row, far left, with pieces from the line) said she was excited to see the worlds of fashion and music come together in this collection. “This is not a promotional line,” she has stated, “this is a style that is truly inspired by musicians.”
The GRAMMY Label collection will be available for purchase throughout February, coinciding with the award show on Sunday. Pieces range from $50 to $120 and will be available at specialty boutiques nationwide as well as www.grammylabelcollection.com.
