Burgers Bourbon + Beer 2020


In October, Los Angeles magazine hosted the fifth annual Burgers Bourbon + Beer with a brand new format, a socially-distanced restaurant crawl. Over the course of three days, three L.A. restaurants, selected by our Food Editor, created a specialty off-the-menu burger grilled up for attendees to enjoy outdoors or to-go. Each burger was served with a cocktail kit from either Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark or Knob Creek. Guests also received a goodie bag filled with offerings from THE BLOC, Downtown Center Business Improvement District, L.A. Works, and More Labs. The burger and cocktail menu included:

  • District DTLA
    • La Carreta Burger: Carne Asada Beef Patty, Queso Frito, Pickled Cabbage Salad, Chimichurri Aioli, Sweet Plantain Bun
    • Jim Beam Black Highball: Jim Beam Black with Premium Soda Water
  • All Day Baby
    • ADB Chili Cheese Burger: Dry-Aged Beef Patty, Smoked Chili, White American Cheese, White Onion, Potato Bun
    • Gold Rush: Maker’s Mark, Honey Syrup, Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice, Water
  • The Win~Dow
    • Hash Burger: Buns, Beef Patty, Hash Brown, Cheese, Onion, and Steak Sauce
    • Knob Creek Lemonade: Knob Creek Bourbon, Dekyuper Apricot Liqueur, Fresh Lemon Juice, Limoncello, Simple Syrup

Strict CDC guidelines were followed including mask requirement when not eating or drinking and tables placed 6ft apart.
