Cannabis Giant MedMen Enlists Spike Jonze, Jesse Williams for a Pot Short

The acclaimed filmmaker and Grey’s Anatomy star are helping make cannabis the ”new normal”

MedMen, a megaplayer in cannabis retail, is set to put some of its green to use with a new short film by Spike Jonze. Starring Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams, the video is part of MedMen’s campaign to make cannabis a “new normal,” according to the company.

The retailer has been tight-lipped about the project, but it’s expected to feature a history of cannabis cultivation, use, and regulation in the United States–albeit through the lens of the guy who directed Being John Malkovich, Her, and a lot of music videos in the ’90s

Viewers eager to be among the first to see the short can join a MedMen email list. Sources tell Los Angeles that it will be going live later this month. For those who watch traditional television broadcasts, you may be treated to an over-the-airwaves showing of the clip, in addition to the online release.
