This Thanksgiving, like many Angelenos, Hudson is going home for the holiday. But he isn’t going to Scottsdale, Arizona, alone—he’s bringing his new girlfriend Camila, whom he met just six weeks ago on Bumble.
New to town and eager to meet people outside her normal circle, UCLA student Camila immediately swiped right when Hudson popped up on her app. “I had just been in L.A. for five months,” says the 32-year-old, who was born in Colombia. “It was the perfect way to meet someone.”
Hudson was growing tired of the apps and was pleasantly surprised when he started exchanging texts with Camila. “I asked her if she wanted to have lunch and she said yes and gave me her address,” the 37-year-old photographer says. “I knew she wasn’t from here when she did that.”
The lunch extended into a trip to the the movies to see Joker, after which they decided call it a night and go home. The following day, they picked up right where they left off and have been inseparable over the past month and a half. Hudson can’t wait to introduce her to the family and thought Thanksgiving was the perfect time.
