Author and screenwriter Gigi Levangie vividly remembers the first time she saw Chris Elise on the floor at the Clippers game. She had her eye on the game but also had her eye on the NBA photographer.
“I said to myself, who is that,” says Levangie, who recently released the novel Been There, Married That and was previously married to Brian Grazer.
Six months later, they both swiped right on Tinder. Chris was the first (and last person) she wound up dating through the app, but it took months for them to meet because she was busy with family when her father was in poor health.
https://www.instagram.com/p/B8r1lbdAmhw/A month after her father passed away—half a year after their Tinder match—the two met in a coffee shop that Chris had recommended to Gigi for writing (he edits his photos there), and they’ve been together ever since.
Gigi knew within moments of meeting her now-husband for coffee that he was the one. “I swear to God, my father sent him to me,” she says.
