What Does David Lynch Champagne Taste Like?

We’re guessing it’s crisp, effervescent, with a long finish—and really hard to follow. Dom Pérignon has teamed up with none other than surrealist director and recreational weatherman David Lynch to bring us a limited edition champagne bottle designed by Twin Peaks’ Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole himself. Dom is celebrating with an invite-only fête next week for which the dress code is described only as “dark.” Yeah, we bet.

From what we can tell, the bottle (that we really wish were called “Brut Velvet”) has sort of a swirly, blue-ish, purple-ish, street-art thing going on—and there’s a high likelihood that Laura Dern is involved in one way or another. But you know, like any Lynch effort, we need a week or so for the impact to sink in.

The auteur previously collaborated with the bubbly makers for a 48-hour photo shoot in which the subject was bottles of Dom. At least this we can actually drink. And hey, if you have too much you can always clear your head with some David Lynch Coffee.
