In a world gone digital, Frank’s Custom Photo Lab is one of the few establishments devoted to black-and-white processing. Museums and galleries rely on it for developing and printing works of art, but individuals are welcome to bring in snaps of that family picnic taken on drugstore film. The facility serves as headquarters for the 4260 Black & White Photographers Guild, an international consortium of practitioners, and A Studio Gallery, the city’s only space dedicated to black-and-white film photography. Its shows are curated by actress Angela Cartwright.
