Best Meal Delivery Service, August 2015
What distinguishes Munchery from the gazillion other mobile dining outfits is that it’s not just glorified takeout. At 5 a.m. most mornings, chefs in a high-tech kitchen start baking focaccia and searing tri-tip. The ingredients are superfresh and mostly local and organic. Meals are packaged in earth-friendly cartons and rushed to delivery drivers around L.A. (they’re at your beck and call) and remain chilled until you reheat them at home or work. Menus change daily and edge toward the slightly exotic: Bahamas guava-rum ribs, harissa grilled chicken, udon with mushroom broth. With all the attention to detail, you’d expect a big bill, but most entrées cost less than $10.
