Sleek and bright, with photos of its dishes on the walls, this is the newest Gujarati-style chat (snack) and mithai (sweets) shop in Little India. The place is mobbed with an all-Indian clientele who know what’s good. Everything is made from ground grains and beans, from the crispy chips and noodles to the more substantial pancake-style dosa and uttapam, steamed buns (idli), roll-up breads, and dozens of sweets. The ovens work throughout the day, so all the goodies are fresh. The kitchen also turns out southern-style vegetarian thalis (combination plates) and many curried dishes.
