Polo Lounge

This institution conjures the Beverly Hills of yore, from the banana leaf-patterned carpets to the pre-reccession buzz in the air. Hollywood types–and those looking to catch a glimpse of them–disappear into suede booths. The picturesque courtyard has fewer dark corners. The menu is American chophouse with a few twists: Lobster salad gets a kick from grapefruit and lemon, and a single outsize crab cake is dense and creamy.
