The Smith brothers, who also own Vibrato and the Arroyo Chop House, have lightened up the interior of their fine-dining cornerstone by hanging big handsome lamp shades from the ceiling and getting rid of the foliage divider. The menu’s been updated, too. Some dishes are a work in progress—the yellowfin sashimi looks more butchered than sliced—but crab cakes are packed with sweet meat, John Dory is cooked just right, and steaks are manly. You can’t beat the service.
