The entertainment gurus at SBE have slapped some white paint on this former beachside sawdust joint, but Hyde Lounge this is not. You can still get your leftovers in an aluminum foil whale (with a foil spout coming out of the blowhole, no less). Some items, like the macadamia rock shrimp appetizer drowning in mango aioli, are nothing for to send a postcard about. Instead, steer the yacht toward Gladstone’s Famous Clambake (steamed clams, lobster, crab, shrimp, corn on the cob, and andouille sausage) and the fish and chips. Sunsets are still complimentary and we’re all for the enormous new umbrellas with attached heaters on the much spiffier patio. Thumbs up on the drinks—there’s a nice raspberry, cucumber number.
