Fogo de Chao

Pronounced fogo de sho, the first L.A. branch of a Brazilian churrascaría outfit is an all-you-can-eat affair in which waiters dressed as gauchos circulate with grilled meats—chicken, pork, lamb, filet mignon—on giant skewers. Sides of polenta sticks, mashed potatoes, and fried bananas appear, too, and black beans, fried yucca flowers, and rice are available on request. Pay $48.50 for the works or $22.95 for the (giant) salad bar alone. No doggie bags, except for dessert (which costs extra).
