This is the only place we know of to find spicy meat loaf with red beans and rice, sashimi samplers, and Mexican tapas all under one roof. Our advice? Stick with Cal-French classics: escargots with leeks, veal stew over fettuccini, or, when offered, fried sweetbreads with root veggies. Nice prosciutto pizza with fig jam, Gorgonzola, and arugula, too. The offbeat ’60s decor may be part of the charm.
