Banchan A La Carte

Although named for the side dishes traditionally served with Korean meals, this small upscale market and café offers more than kimchi (the cucumber is its trademark) and nulon ji (toasted rice that’s great as a beer snack or, when mixed with hot water, a porridge). A deli section has packaged goods ranging from dried anchovies to jellyfish salad, and the sit-down menu—there are just a few tables on a patio abutting the parking lot—runs from bulgogi to Western-friendly ribs and sashimi salads.
