Adamm’s Stained Glass Studio & Art Gallery
Best Glass Art Gallery, 2013
Watch your elbows around the rainbow of glass that fills Adamm’s Stained Glass Studio & Art Gallery. In 1972, Adamm Gritlefeld opened a workshop, where he crafted one-of-a-kind stained-glass pieces for the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House and that manse at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Today his shop is a lively gallery off the 3rd Street Promenade that showcases his fragile masterpieces along with those of more than 175 glass artists from North America. Make a statement with a thrashing octopus sculpture, a frilly perfume bottle, or an abstract chandelier.
