Why Do You Stand There in the Rain?
April 2, 2013 @ 12:00 AM - April 6, 2013 @ 12:00 AM
Occupy, meet the Bonus Army. In 1932, some 20,000 veterans camped out on the Washington Mall to demand early payment of bonuses they were owed for service in World War II. Instead General MacArthur and Major Eisenhower drove out the crowd with bayonets and tear gas. This play, which incorporates the music of Woody Guthrie, was first performed by Pepperdine students at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival last summer. More information.
