September 13, 2014 @ 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

As part of the Culinary Historians of Southern California’s lineup of programming, local spirits experts and writers Lesley and David Solmonson will speak about the transformation of Hollywood from a religious, drytown to the epicenter of nightclub culture. The Central Library’s Mark Taper Auditorium will host the talk, where attendees will learn about the factors that led to the rise of the night club, its golden age, as well as top venues and drinks at spots such as the Coconut Grove, Embassy, and the Montmarte.
