Wednesday Wheels: Colorful Mustangs and a Goth MINI Cooper

Welcome to our new (hopefully) weekly feature, where we spot some of the most impressive, double-take-inducing cars seen during the week. We’re not talking about expensive Beemers that blend into the background; we mean cars that showcase some fun, some style, some panache. Hopefully, these cars will help you glide toward Friday. Click on the pics for larger images.

Spotted: neon green Mustang

Where: Westwood, near Veteran and Wilshire

This beauty caught our eye as we crossed Ashton Street. Not only do we have a soft-spot for mustangs — and convertibles — but this baby was in pristine condition. The driver also had an awesome afro and didn’t mind us snapping a pic.

Spotted: death-proof MINI Cooper
Where: West L.A., appropriately enough on Stoner Avenue

MINI Coopers may not be as cool as they were a decade ago, but a shiny black one with a death-proof logo on the hood is hipper than Quentin Tarantino at an Echo Park record shop. Love.

Spotted: Grabber blue Mustang
Where: Westwood, near Wilshire and Westwood

Crossing Wilshire Boulevard is a pleasure when you have a gorgeous thing like this to stare at. The grabber blue color, first bestowed upon Mustangs in 1969, was magnificent.
