Wednesday Wheels: The City in Four Vehicles

Welcome to our new weekly feature, where we spot some of the most impressive, double-take-inducing cars seen this week. We’re not talking about expensive Beemers that blend into the background; we mean cars that showcase some fun, some style, some panache. Hopefully, these cars will help you glide toward Friday. This week’s car seem to define life today in wild, wacky, L.A.
Spotted: Silver Audi TT
Where: Santa Monica parking garage
There’s nothing like an Audi, is there? Even a Silver model can light up a bland garage. We love that the driver placed the California plate on the dash rather than taking off the European plate.
Spotted: Bumblebee Bugatti
Where: Rodeo Drive
This understated commuter vehicle is owned by the Bijans, a fashion designing family known for their billboards cluttering the Westside. Parked outside their shop on Rodeo, tourists gawked and took pictures as we rolled our eyes.
Spotted: Attention-getting van
Where: Westwood
We’ll refrain from commenting on this one.
Spotted: Lincoln Continental
Where: West L.A.
A dreary street on the Westside was saved by this splash of color with wheels (some may see this car and think of JFK, but we’re simply too young!).
